ADEGA, is the first and only Michelin-starred restaurant in San José, California. Currently, ADEGA is also the only Portuguese restaurant in the US to have ever received a Michelin star that is still open. Meaning wine cellar, ADEGA represents authentic cuisine at its very best. Simple but elegant food is perfectly complemented by the restaurant’s smart casual environment. Our key to success is our modern approach to old classics and using the best ingredients available seasonally. Our wine room offers a selection of more than 500 of the best Portuguese wines.

Our current Chef’s Tasting Menu experience is offered in three versions; You may choose the entire 7-course menu, a 5-course version or a shorter 3-course version. The Chef’s Tasting Menu has two optional wine pairings, a regular and a premium.
With advance notice, we may accommodate most food allergies. We are happy to accommodate pescatarian, vegetarian, or dairy free (except for butter) requests. We are unable to accommodate severe gluten, soy, nut, shellfish or meat allergies. We are unable to accommodate vegan requests.

Bar service is currently suspended.

Our wine list consists of more than 500 wines from Portugal only.
If you rather bring your own wine, we have a corkage fee of $50 per bottle of 750ml and $100 per magnum bottle.
